Supportive Recovery Housing Program

For individuals who have managed to stop using addictive substances and have begun the process of recovery, obstacles to living a lifestyle of sustained recovery may still be in their way. During active dependence to an addictive substance, the loss of employment, connection to the community, and family support is not uncommon; some individuals may not have had these important connections to begin with. Supportive Recovery Housing provides recovering individuals with a safe, stable, and sober environment to continue working toward a productive lifestyle. Supportive Recovery Housing is the bridge between a person leading a substance-free lifestyle to re-integration or integration into a healthy and productive lifestyle.

A person in recovery is not a threat to the community. These individuals who could be a co-worker, a friend, or a family member have sought help for their dependence to an addictive substance; there are many people in every community who still struggle with an untreated addiction problem. The recovering individual in Supportive Recovery Housing is not the threat next door. These people represent hope for those still struggling with a Substance Use Disorder, and bring a positive element into a compassionate and accepting community.
